An Evening on Forgiveness

Having difficulty forgiving someone who has hurt us in some way almost seems to be part of our human nature. It’s natural to feel upset when we feel hurt, ignored or betrayed.  However, this action seems to work to the detriment of our physical and our spiritual well-being. Forgiveness does not necessarily mean reconciliation.  Letting go of resentment and making peace with the past is hard work and can be quite challenging. Becoming more capable of forgiveness will result in minimizing ruminating on past transgressions and letting go of anger and resentment. Forgiveness is a complex process and is worthy of our time and attention.

This three-hour workshop will include spending time with interesting women, journaling, watching a video on forgiveness, and discussion of all materials shared in the workshop. Several days before the workshop begins, participants will receive videos and articles to prepare for our discussion.  An e-book, entitled Forgiveness, will be e-mailed to workshop participants the day after the workshop.

Holding on to anger and resentment is like letting someone you don’t
like live rent-free in your head.
