Death and loss: another Inconvenient Truth

Few conversations we have carry more trepidation and significance than the ones we have, or attempt to have, about death. Death can be so inconvenient. We often live our lives on autopilot until something happens to shake up our life and immediately demands our attention. Grief happens and it is disruptive, painful, and often unpredictable. It brings up intense feelings that can challenge the deepest sense of who we are. Yet, death can be one of our greatest teachers. All relationships will end, either through separation or death. Experiencing grief and loss forces us to pause and reflect on the deeper questions of what life is about. Bringing the practice of mindfulness into this process does not change what is happening but can help us become a witness to something we have no control over. A decision needs to be made to allow grieving to unfold and re-shape our life into something different than it was before the loss. Come together with other women who want to bravely explore this topic.
