Did you ever wonder how to deal with challenging people more effectively? Difficult people can add stress to your personal life as well as destroy morale and diminish creativity. Gain awareness of the importance of specific skills and strategies when resolving conflicts. This group will develop an understanding of what triggers stress and anger reactions as well as learning to identify stressors and symptoms. Taking responsibility for the quality and the climate of relationships will be addressed and techniques for communicating through conflict will be studied. Managing anger effectively and communicating with awareness will be discussed. The healing power of a humor perspective will be utilized during this group. Being aware and practicing these strategies can help you maintain self-respect, exhibit respect for others and maximize productivity for everyone involved.
This is a 3 hour workshop. Participants will receive videos and articles before the workshop to reflect on before the group meets. After the workshop, participants will receive an e-book entitled Working with Emotions, which includes articles by the Dalai Lama, Pema Chodron, Tara Brach and Thich Nhat Hanh.
